Assessment of topically treated non melanoma skin cancers by sequential optical biopsies using multiphoton microscopy (2008–2009)

Abstract:
Alternative topical treatments for nonmelanoma skin cancers and precancers that avoid the undesirable side effects of tradition methods are becoming more popular among clinicians. However, the most effective means of delivering these drugs, and the relationship between the nature of lesion clearance and the risk of recurrence, remain unclear. We will examine the effect of these alternative treatments at the cellular level, using fluorescence microscopy, aiming to improve their effectiveness.
