Dr Sarangan Ketheesan

Overview

Sarangan is a Psychiatry Registrar at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the University of Queensland's National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research. He was awarded his MBBS from James Cook University, and graduated from the same institution in 2020 with a MPH. He worked as a Resident Medical Officer at RBWH prior to commencing psychiatry training. Sarangan is currently working towards a PhD at UQ and is investigating the relationship between stress and mental illness in combat-exposed veterans. His research interests include biological psychiatry, addiction and the links between stress and mental illness in vulnerable and minority populations
